Your Guide to Original Equipment Tyres
Original equipment tyres are chosen by the vehicle maker to balance noise, rolling resistance, handling, and cost for that chassis. They are a safe default but not always the best value at replacement time.
Why OEM exists
Homologation testing covers braking distances, ESC behaviour, and NVH targets. A tyre with similar ratings usually preserves those characteristics.
When to upgrade
If you tow more, drive gravel weekly, or want sharper response, a different pattern within the same load/speed band may help — ask a pro.
Homologation marks
Some premium cars stamp optional OE codes on the placard; matching them can matter for warranty on certain systems.
